Talking Shop with Tim Ritchie Before Race Day

Now, that we’ve covered the real reason why Ryan Hall and Meb Keflezighi dropped out of the Boston Marathon on Monday (they’re scared of Tim Ritchie’s mad yoga skills), I thought you might like to learn more about Boston’s fastest local marathon contender, a Worcester native, graduate of Boston College, current track and field coach for his alma mater, and slinger of running shoes at Heartbreak Hill Running Company, located at mile 20 of the iconic course.

Tim was originally scheduled to run the NYC Marathon last fall, which was cancelled due to the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, thereby altering his training plan. Translation: Boston’s fastest marathon contender will debut at the most challenging and storied distance, in his hometown, on Monday.

Who wants to watch with me? This is where I’ll be.
